In 2013 the University of Colorado sought to increase intellectual diversity on campus by establishing the position of visiting scholar in conservative thought and policy. The school chose wisely in appointing Steven F. Hayward to the role.
Steve earned his PhD from the Claremont Graduate School with the support of ISI’s Weaver Fellowship. He has been a fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, a senior fellow at the Pacific Research Institute, and a distinguished fellow at the Ashbrook Center at Ashland University. He also has written several books, including The Age of Reagan, a highly regarded, two-volume narrative history of Ronald Reagan and his effect on American political life. Steve speaks for ISI and blogs regularly at PowerLine.
Having completed his one-year appointment at Colorado, Steve now serves as the Ronald Reagan Professor of Public Policy at Pepperdine University.
