Scott Masson (PhD, Durham, England) is Associate Professor of English Literature at Tyndale University College, an evangelical liberal arts college in Toronto, Canada. He teaches courses ranging from the Greek and Roman classics to the Literature of the Bible, from Shakespeare and the Metaphysical Poets to the works of C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien. He is a specialist in English and European Romanticism, and in literary theory, and is a certified German translator. His publications include Romanticism, Hermeneutics and the Crisis of the Human Sciences, an entry on 'Romanticism' for the Oxford Handbook to English Literature and Theology, and entries on 'Christian poetry' and 'Christianity and Romanticism' for the Encyclopedia of Christian Civilization. He also serves as Senior Fellow of the Ezra Institute for Contemporary Christianity and is the founding Board Chairman of Toronto's new Westminster Classical Christian Academy.
