James W. Ceaser
Senior Fellow, Hoover Institution, and Professor of Politics, University of Virginia
James W. Ceaser is Professor of Government and Foreign Affairs at the University of Virginia. He received his Ph.D. in 1976 from Harvard University and has taught at the University of Virginia since 1975. He has also been a Visiting Professor at Claremont McKenna College, Harvard University, Laval University, Marquette University, and The George Marshall Center in Germany.
Dr. Ceaser has authored and co-authored numerous books including Reforming the Reform (Harper and Row, 1982), American Government: Origins, Institutions, and Public Policy (McGraw Hill, 1984), Liberal Democracy and Political Science (John Hopkins University Press, 1990), and Reconstructing America: The Symbol of America in Modern Thought (Yale University Press, 1997). He has published numerous articles in books and journals on political science and public policy.
