Professor Anthony Esolen teaches Renaissance literature at Providence College (RI). He is an internationally-recognized authority on Dante and a translator of the Divine Comedy (3 vols. Random House).

His recent books include Ten Ways to Destroy the Imagination of Your Child (ISI Press, 2010) and Ironies of Faith (ISI Press, 2007). He has also translated Tasso’s Jerusalem Delivered (Johns Hopkins University Press), and Lucretius’ On the Nature of Things (Johns Hopkins University Press).

He is a senior editor for Touchstone: A Journal of Mere Christianity, and writes regularly for many other publications.
